Background

Arts Nova Scotia received a $1.4 million increase in the 2023-24 provincial budget. This designated increase will provide support to both organizations receiving operating assistance funding and allow new organizations to access support for their core operations. The One Year Sustaining Grant will only be offered in the 2023-24 fiscal year as there will be a new intake to the Operating Assistance for Arts Organizations in 2024 that will consider new and existing operating recipients. Arts Nova Scotia will be using the next year to consult with the professional arts community and explore options about what operating assistance will look like going forward.
