Arts Nova Scotia is managed by a professional staff who works closely with the administration team of the Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage to deliver all programs and services.
Christopher Shore, Director
Christopher’s background includes over 25 years’ experience as a professional actor, writer and arts administrator. He has served on the boards of numerous cultural organizations and is a strong supporter of the arts community.
Enrique Ferreol, Program Officer
Enrique is a visual artist originally from Mexico, where he attended the National School of Fine Arts. Formerly, Ferreol was Assistant Curator of Education at the Art Galler of Nova Scotia. He now administers the Grants to Individuals and Arts Equity Funding Initiative at Arts Nova Scotia.
Lauren Williams, Assistant Curator and Outreach Officer
Lauren is a motivated and involved arts and culture professional inspired by public engagement with history, arts and culture. She has a Master of Museum Studies from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Arts with Combined Honours in Contemporary Studies and English from the University of King’s College.
Mireille Bourgeois, Program Officer
Mireille received a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Arts and Design and an MA from the Centre for Curatorial Studies at Bard College. Bourgeois has over 14 years of experience in the non-profit sector and continues her independent curatorial career. She manages the Grants to Small Groups and Organizations, Operating Assistance to Arts Organizations and Project Grants for Publishers programs.
