Arts Nova Scotia is managed by a professional staff who works closely with the administration team of the Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage to deliver all programs and services.
Christopher Shore, Director
Christopher’s background includes over 25 years’ experience as a professional actor, writer and arts administrator. He has served on the boards of numerous cultural organizations and is a strong supporter of the arts community.
Peter Kirby, Program Officer
Peter received a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Arts and Design. Since graduating he has worked in the Nova Scotia arts community as a practicing artist and arts administrator. Kirby was seconded to the Nova Scotia Arts Council to manage the Grants to Individuals program later serving in the same capacity in the Culture Division prior to the creation of Arts Nova Scotia.
Enrique Ferreol, Program Officer
Enrique is a visual artist originally from Mexico, where he attended the National School of Fine Arts. Ferreol was Assistant Curator of Education at the AGNS prior to take over responsibility of the Grants to Organizations and Small Groups program and the management of the Nova Scotia Art Bank for Arts Nova Scotia.
Lauren Williams, Assistant Curator and Outreach Officer
Lauren is a motivated and involved arts and culture professional inspired by public engagement with history, arts and culture. She has a Masters of Museum Studies from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the University of King’s College.
Mireille Bourgeois, Assistant Curator and Outreach Officer (on leave until September 2017)
Mireille received a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Arts and Design and an MA from the Centre for Curatorial Studies at Bard College. Bourgeois has over 14 years of experience in the non-profit sector and continues her independent curatorial career. She manages the NS Art Bank and its' Purchase Program as well as outreach activities for Arts Nova Scotia.
